  2. I am grateful to my Mom Virginia Mifflin Smith, my Grandmother Nellie Boone Smith and cousin Jane Holliday who spent countless hours searching through Libraries, Genealogical Society magazines and census records to find our lineage to join the Mayflower society, the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War, the Veterans of Revolutionary War, the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Women’s auxiliary of the Sons of the Veterans of the Civil War. My Grandfather Smith was President of the SUVCW Pacific chapter in the 1940’s among other callings in that Society. Grandmother Smith was President of the Women’s’ Society for the SUVCW. They signed us up for all those societies. I am unable to join right now, but grateful for the time they spent researching our Family History and lineage. My cousin Jane Holiday volunteers with her local Family History Library and has helped to find more of our lineage. My Mom and Dad both worked on the microfiche machines at their local church on transcribing the 1880 census.
Jane also takes photos of all the grave markers at the local cemeteries and in other states as well.
My Mom taught me all she knew and I have spent some time on it as well adding this information to the New Family Search website. My daughter Suzanne is gathering information while she is living in Minnesota and taking photos of grave markers as well as entering data on the New Family Search website for her husband and father‘s lines.
I wonder who will be next in our future to carry the Family History torch???
